Wednesday December 2, 2009 a motley crowd of European JELD-WENs met in Billund for the first “Innovation Day” in JELD-WEN Door Solutions.

The crowd constitutes our “Innovation Council 2009 - 10”. Employees have been appointed by their managers due to their open, creative and engaged character (it hasn’t been easy to appoint these people as the majority of the employees at JELD-WEN has this character). These employees will during a time period of 12 – 18 months have to use time and energy on the spread of an innovation culture within JELD-WEN.

Despite this difficult task it is a quite skilled team which was gathered: employees of different ages, of both sexes, from various functions and positions – but everyone are curious and motivated.

It was a very inspiring and instructive day and hopefully everyone will benefit from the things the local council-members learned from this introductive meeting.
